  • STAR dates for semester 2 2008 STAR (Student Timetable Allocation and Registration) will be opening shortly for students to enter their preferences for semester 2 2008 on-campus classes. Dates for STAR are as follows: Open in Preference Entry mode Monday 16 June 2008, 9am (Students can enter preferences for scheduled classes.) Close for Sort Friday 27 June 2008, 9am (The system is closed while preferences are sorted and students are allocated to classes.) Allocation Adjustment Mode opens Friday 27 June 2008, 5pm (Students can view their personalised timetable and make adjustments instantaneously.) Read Only Mode Tuesday 5 August 2008, 10am (A final sort will be run to assign any unallocated students to remaining available timeslots.)   • Online Invoice Maintenance

    Due to monthly system maintenance the online invoice will be temporarily unavailable between 5pm, 30th April 2008 and 9am, 1st May 2008. We apologise for any inconvenience.

  • Commonwealth Assistance Notice - Semester  1 2008

    For students enrolled in Semester 1 2008 your Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN) is now available. To view your CAN, click on the 'Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN)' link on the side menu bar. It is important that you carefully check the accuracy of the information reported on your notice, and that you print a copy to keep for your records.

  • Important Reminder - Semester 1 Census Date - Monday 31 March 2008

    This is the last date you can submit an eCAF, apply for HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP, supply your Tax File Number for HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP purposes, withdraw from a unit or a course without full financial liability, or withdraw from a unit without record on your academic history. Ring Customer Service on (03)9244 6333 or visit any DeakinCentral office if you have questions regarding this.

  • Students who failed to re-enrol for 2008

    Fee paying and international students who are re-enrolling for 2008 will incur a late re-enrolment fee of $200.

  • INACTIVE course status

    A course attempt status of INACTIVE means that you are still a student of Deakin, but you do not have any units enrolled in the current semester. INACTIVE will change to ENROLLED:
    If you have units enrolled for Summer 2008, your course attempt status will change to ENROLLED on 1 November 2007. If you only have units enrolled for Semester 1, 2008, your course attempt status will change to ENROLLED on January 1, 2008. If you only have units enrolled for Semester 2, 2008, your course attempt status will change to ENROLLED on July 1, 2008.

All the applications that are available via StudentConnect are shown on the left sidebar menu.  Not all of these applications are available all the time.  Some may be available only at certain times during the year for a restricted period.  Always take note of important information which is displayed in the News section above.

To use StudentConnect, click on one of the sidebar menu links on the left.  Login by using your Deakin username and password.  To manage your Deakin username and password, go to www.deakin.edu.au/password.

For your own protection, you are advised to select Logout when you have finished, particularly if you do not wish to close your web browser.  Deakin University takes the threat of attack to its online facilities very seriously, the www.deakin.edu.au/its/it_security/training link provides further advice on IT security.

Usage tips:
- The preferred web browsers for StudentConnect are Internet Explorer 7.0 for PC-based operations and Internet Explorer 5.2 for Mac-based operations.
- For MAC users - When logging in, use the mouse & click on the Login button rather than pressing the Enter key - the Enter key refreshes the screen.
- StudentConnect makes use of popup windows to deliver important messages. If you have your browser's popup blocker turned on, you will need to turn it off when using this site.
